Here are some tips for healthy teeth
All we eat in daily life has effect on our teeth on teeth & its strength
MILK contains calcium which makes teeth stronger, all other dairy products lower pH in the mouth thus decreases the wear and tear of the teeth.
CHEESE too contains calcium & phosphate, it helps in balancing pH, preserves tooth enamel, increases saliva production and kills bacteria in mouth.
GREEN TEA reduces plaque, gum diseases & bad breadth.
JUICY FRUITS apple, strawberry, kiwi, orange, with high vitamin C contents prevents gum disease.
GREEN VEGETABLES too helps in preventing gum diseases.
SUGAR FREEChewing gums increases saliva production,cleanses mouth, and most important helps in exercise of jaw muscles.
Food such as CANDIES, COOKIES, BISCUITS, POTATO CHIPS, AERATED DRINKS and very SWEET FLAVORED juices starts decay and increases cavity (decay). Last but not the least WATER, drink lots of water daily, not just for healthy teeth but for healty skin.
BRUSH twice daily, if needed even thrice after every snacks, Use a soft toothbrush and just take a pea (small) sized toothpaste over it. Do not brush very vigorously, it will result in grinding of teeth.
Use a FLOSS ore INTER DENTAL BRUSH to clean between the teeth.
Use a MOUTHWASH to rinse your mouth.
For kids use a FLUORIDATED toothpaste.
Check for any visible changes in your mouth by yourself regularly such as cavities, spots, discoloration of any tooth, yellowness of teeth, bad smell from mouth, in case you find any its time to visit your dentist.
Visit your DENTIST every 6 months for a regular check up.
